Behavioral Health Department

New Ulm Medical Center offers comprehensive Behavioral Health services.

Outpatient Mental Health Services

Our outpatient mental health department provides psychological and psychiatric assessments, individual and family therapy, psychological testing, management of psychiatric medications, and home-based mental health services. These services are available to children, adolescents and adults.

The department is open Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. To reach the outpatient mental health department call 507-233-1168.

Inpatient Psychiatric Services

Adolescent and adult patients from all over the state are treated on our psychiatric unit. The department also offers mental health crisis assessment and referral.

Substance Abuse Services

The third piece of our Behavioral Health Services is providing substance abuse assessment and treatment services. The substance abuse department provides residential and outpatient treatment and is licensed by the Minnesota Department of Human Services. Adolescents and adults are served by this department.
