Greetings from afarA new interactive Web site feature enables those who cannot pay a visit to a hospitalized relative or friend to send them a personal message. Baby Congratulations and Thinking of You cards can now be created on the medical center’s Web site and hand-delivered to an individual’s room. By accessing the medical center’s home page at www.newulmmedicalcenter.com and clicking on the ‘Send an e-card’ link, anyone can create a personalized message. After choosing either the Thinking of You or Baby Congratulations card, entering the patient’s first and last name; your first and last name and e-mail address; and the message, simply hit ‘send’ and the message will be forwarded to a central processing computer. Each day, Monday through Friday, the cards will be printed off and delivered by volunteers to the room of the recipient. If the patient has left the hospital by the time the message is received, the card will be mailed to the patient’s home address. |
