Emergency DepartmentIn 2006, over 10,500 visits were made to the New Ulm Medical Center’s Emergency Department, where patients found compassionate care coupled with top-of-the-line technology and practices. Twenty-four hours a day you’ll find dedicated doctors, nurses and technicians, along with full-service imaging and laboratory services all working toward your optimum health in a time of crisis. A wide range of specialists including orthopedics, general surgery, OB/GYN, internal medicine, psychiatry and family medicine are also on call for emergency treatment. All of our Emergency Department physicians bring a background in emergency medicine to the department and are trained and skilled in the latest emergency medicine techniques and practices. Our Registered Nurses are also specially trained in Advanced Life Support and Trauma Nursing, providing critical care at critical moments. Ambulance services to the city of New Ulm and the surrounding area are also operated out of the New Ulm Medical Center Emergency Department. The service is staffed by a crew of dedicated Emergency Medicine Technicians (EMTs). Also housed in our Emergency Department location are procedure rooms designed for scheduled procedures such as colonoscopies. This service is offered through the New Ulm Medical Center Clinic. |
